The upcoming issue spotlights a St. Helena home with architecture that plays on the classic American farmhouse. Plath & Co were asked to provide their expertise early in the process starting with preconstruction (preliminary evaluation, consultation, scope management, design document assessment and review, scheduling, cost estimating, etc.) and project development for the home, which helped generate insight on design and a successful outcome. Plath & Co did all the custom carpentry including framing, finish work, interior door and exterior doors and windows. One of the central elements of the structure was an existing water tower which Plath & Co. placed on a foundation in order to keep it in its original position adding to the simple but elegant, low-key lifestyle of the owners, and the interior design work by St. Helena designer Erin Martin.
