Plath & Co. Wins Two First Places at Bay Area REMMIE Awards

SAN RAFAEL, October 26, 2005 ´ Plath & Company, one of the Bay Area's largest residential general contractors, was a double winner at the 11th Annual Remmie Awards held by the Bay Area Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). The event, which honors the best in local remodeling design, architecture and construction, was held October 19 in San Francisco.

Plath & Co. took a first place in Residential Additions over $500,000. The San Rafael firm also earned a first place in the Entire House Remodel. These awards honor remodeling projects by members of the local NARI chapter whose members include contractors, architects and professionals.

"The contest entries reflect an accurate slice of remodeling in the Bay Area," says architect Andre Rothblatt, chairman of the local NARI chapter. "Unlike some contests, it doesn't just focus on high-end projects that many people can't relate to. It shows a range of budgets and project sizes.Ó

"We're thrilled to be named a winner in these select NARI categories,Ó said Steve Plath, Plath & Company founder and president. "This awards program is unique because it recognizes the professionals who do the construction, as well as those who design them. Any time you're judged by your peers, the competition is much more intense and meaningful.Ó
