Head Estimator

This position requires an excellent communicator to liaison between clients, sales department, subcontractors, architects and project team to consistently evaluate the company’s position regarding each estimate. The candidate must be good at implementing and maintaining job cost review systems and databases.

In addition to estimating, the candidate will be responsible for delegating the workload within the department and will ensure that the team provides accurate and timely estimates while managing all AIA and PIA contracts. This person will assist project managers by determining what types of projects to pursue and strategies to implement. This position requires a team player that will participate in presentations to clients and may be called upon to close a "sale".

Requirements

1. Four-year college degree or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.
2. Extensive experience in high-end residential or light commercial construction estimating a plus.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project. (Timberline Software experience a plus.)
4. Excellent organizational, supervisory and decision making/problem solving skills.
5. Maintain a high code of ethics with regard to the company, customers and vendors.
